Are you interested in creating a branding identity for your business and designing a logo that matches your vision? You’re in the right place. Logo and brand design is our favourite service and one of our expertise.

We’ve got you covered! We will create a bespoke design that is thoughtfully crafted especially for you.

About Brand Design

If you just stumbled across our page because you are interested in this topic, let’s start with delving into why brand identity is so important.

Brand identity is the most tangible and actionable part of what makes a brand. The right elements can help you create a strong identity that clearly communicates your values to the world. Branding elements vary depending on the type of company/business/industrylabel but your identity is made up of visible elements of your brand, such as colour, logo, tagline, voice and typography that helps identify and distinguish your brand in consumers minds.

Because of these reasons, we spend time and effort on finding the perfect and unique brand identity that suits your values and vision. In the next section of this page, we will explain how exactly we design a unique brand identity at Alkira and how each step of the process looks like.

Our Brand Identity Design Process

Step 01 | Preparation

Brand Questionnaire, Deposit and Pinterest

We start by sending you a branding questionnaire to get all the gritty details about you and your business, then you will share a Pinterest Board with us on logo styles that take your fancy.

First Meeting - Online or Face-to-Face

Once all the paperwork is complete – you’ve paid the 50% deposit, filled in our questionnaire and finalised your Pinterest board – we get you in for a little meet and greet with your designer. For our overseas clients or interstate friends in Melbourne,Brisbane or Perth, this initial meeting is usually done online via Skype. If you live in Sydney or are from the Northern Beaches, we encourage a face-to-face catch-up.

Step 02 | Brand Strategy and Direction

Starting a Moodboard

Firstly we’ll put together a moodboard to establish the visual direction of your brand. This will be a mix of both design-focused and distinctive images. The moodboard will set the tone for your brand moving forward and will give you a good idea of the kind of art direction you can expect to receive as the project unfolds.

Keywords and Brand Colours

We will include some keywords, a suggested colour palette and an overview for the direction of your branding going forward. Determining brand colours and keywords are important because brand colours are a key component to a brand's visual identity. Your brand colours create a colour palette complimentary to the brand's personality and style. Keywords are specific to the various products and services your business offers. Keywords help on-line and off-line contacts understand your brand. Keywords help you interact with your target audience.

Throughout the brand identity process, we will refer back to these boards and rationale. Once you’re happy about every image and detail on your moodboard, we will move on to your logo design concepts.

All these elements will be presented in a brief branding document, which is yours to keep.

Step 03 | Logo Design

Logo Concepts

Now we have set the tone with your moodboard, it’s time for us to create 2-4 logo concepts for you to choose from. Your logo concepts are based around typography, pattern, unique touches, hand lettering and illustration, depending on your brand. Once we have your concepts ready, we will share your logo concepts for you to choose from.

We will provide you with a digital mockup of your logo concepts, all supplied in black and white. Additionally, we will include:

  • your primary logo,

  • secondary logo,

  • tagline (if applicable),

  • sub-marks, pattern

  • or graphic (where applicable).

Revision

Once we present you the logo concepts, you will get up to 2 rounds of revisions. This allows us to finesse your preferred logo. You don’t generally need to use all two rounds, but the option is there if you need it.

All logos will be presented in black and white and include some mockups, allowing you to see the potential use of your future logo in the real world.

After your logo has been finalised, we will send you all the logo files via Dropbox so you can start implementing them across all your platforms.

Step 04 | Style Guide

Creating The Style Guide

A Style Guide is a document that outlines all the finer details of your branding and how to implement them with consistency across all of your marketing touch points.

Our Style Guides include guidelines on how to best use your logo, a suite of fonts (for both print and digital use), colour palettes, suggested logo usage, image direction and any other graphic rules that we suggest for your brand.

This is a fantastic resource that will really help you to seamlessly implement your new logo and branding assets across all aspects of your business.

A style guide will create cohesion, direction and clarity for all marketing decisions for your brand. Your style guide will help the creation and upkeep of your website, look and voice of your social media accounts and much more for your brand.

You can take your brand to the next level and let us create a website for you that perfectly matches your brand by applying all your recently updated branding guidelines. If this is what you are looking for, check out our website design service.

The size and complexity of your style guide will depend on how much design work we execute for you but will generally comprise 15+ pages.
